THE PROCESS

  1. ENCORE artists run workshops on how to connect with different audiences, create interactive activities, and write scripts for public speaking

  2. ENCORE artists present a mock-community event for ENCORE’s young artists who observe the real, live experience of audience engagement

  3. Young artists curate & execute their own scripts & programs for a specific community partner venue. They are instructed to incorporate cool facts, silly jokes, &/or stories into their presentation.

  4. ENCORE young artists present their programs at partner locations & receive feedback from community partner staff and Cavani String Quartet members in an open, ongoing discussion about the effectiveness of their engagement strategies.

  5. A follow-up workshops are conducted to discuss the experience, emphasizing the benefits of community engagement to both enrich their artistic lives & careers & create a culture of sharing, listening, & inclusion between audiences & artists.
